Dealing With Anxiety

a mixed approach

I have lived with multiple anxiety disorders for as long as I can remember. I have been diagnosed with General Anxiety Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, and Panic Disorder.

Having to live with these, as well as a few other disorders can leave me frantic if I let things get too out of control.

I mainly regulate my anxiety levels with medications. Before I was on medication, everything was ten times worse.

One of my main anxiety complaints is that I get nervous butterflies in my stomach. medications have done wonders as it has eliminated them altogether.

Another thing I do to help my anxiety is to meditate on bible verses and affirmations.

A few Bible verses that I especially like are the following:

1 Peter 5:7

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

I find it comforting that God wants us to give him our troubles, because he is our loving father, and he cares about us.

Isaiah 41:10

So do not fear, for I am with you, do not be dismayed, for I am your  God. I will strengthen you, and help you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

To know that God is always here in good times and in bad helps to calm me when I’m feeling anxious or afraid.

Romans 8;38-39

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels or demons, neither the present or the future, nor any powers, or neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Realizing that absolutely nothing can divide us from the love of  God is such wonderful news, especially this day and age, where many people only show conditional love. God loves us unconditionally, and that truly is great news!

Thanks for reading. 🙂

  1. I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting my own weblog and was curious what all is required to get set up? I’m assuming having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny? I’m not very internet savvy so I’m not 100 positive. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. Appreciate it

  2. Do you mind if I quote a few of your posts as long as I provide credit and sources back to your weblog? My blog is in the very same area of interest as yours and my visitors would truly benefit from a lot of the information you provide here. Please let me know if this alright with you. Many thanks!
