Hello, Poetry Friends!💜
I hope you are well! Thank you for visiting my poetry blog. I appreciate you being here!

I spent many years in the darkness of depression. I never knew what it meant to want to live- I only knew how to survive. All during that time, God helped me through my struggles by pointing me toward the future. I looked to the hope of Heaven no matter how dark it got, but the weight of unforgiveness bogged me down.
.
Now I see a different path before me. I don’t need to wait for Heaven to have a good life. I want to make progress now. I want to grow beyond where I’ve been. To start, I needed to forgive people from my past. I didn’t know how, but knew that God wanted me to (Ephesians 4:31-34), so I kept praying for God to help me.
.
It finally clicked as God answered my prayers by changing my heart. In prayer, we can give God the situations and people we need to forgive and trust Him to handle the rest. Now I am letting the river of forgiveness flow through me like a stream toward the hands of God. From here, I can start to move forward, with His help.

Thankfully, God’s mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). We can start new again and live a path of freedom, trusting God to help us along the way.

my heart trusts in him, and he helps me.

So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?”
