There is Still Hope

It seems that as I get older, each birthday I have becomes more like a slap in the face, rather than a blessing. As the numbers creep up, I continue to decline.

No matter how much we try to fight the ageing process, it still keeps chasing us.

Some people spend quite a bit of money on trying to look younger as they age, but the internal ageing process still continues. We can’t run from time, and eventually, it will catch up with us all, and a day will come when we will leave this earth.

The Good News

Thankfully, there is hope for all of us. If we accept that hope and trust in God to renew us at the appointed time, we can become immortal, along with him.

The Bible says, “So we do not lose heart, though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing us for an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to things that are seen, but to the things that are unseen, For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.” (2 Corinthians 4:16-18)

What an amazing ray of hope to hold onto! For those of us who trust in Jesus, we have a promise here, saying that no matter how much hardship we go through while we are here on this Earth, it will be nothing compared to all that God has planned for us.

This is truly exciting, and something we can look forward to, as well as comfort ourselves when things aren’t going the way we want them to.

It is Such a Relief!

It’s also such a relief to know that no matter how old we get in our mortal bodies, that someday we will have eternal bodies that will never hurt again or decline in any way forevermore.

Sometimes I like to imagine what heaven will be like. It’s such an exhilarating feeling to realize and trust God for an eternal existence, where we will never truly die after leaving this Earth.

How about you?

Have you trusted Jesus to be your Lord and Savior? Have you asked Him to forgive you from your sins?

John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believe in him shall not perish, but will have eternal life.”

If you haven’t yet invited Jesus into your life, why not take this leap of faith today? As long as we are breathing, we have the chance to be saved. Are you breathing? then there is still hope!

My Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

I praise your mighty name. Thank you for creating us and for giving us a chance to spend eternity with you. I pray that whoever does not believe, that their eyes will be opened to your truth and that they will receive your free gift of salvation and be able to spend eternity with you.
IJNIP, Amen
