The Tornado Sister

your words left your mouth
as smooth as sweet cream

I believed your lying eyes
and shared with you my hopes and dreams

you knew how to twist and turn
your way into my heart

and then when you entered in
you tore my world apart

They made me feel uncomfortable in my own skin because they were not OK with me being me

When I Realized I Belong Somewhere

the sky opened its eyes
in the morning

the sun beamed down
upon your face

rainbows of colors
danced around the room
and at that moment
I knew I was in the right place

Doesn’t it feel good to belong somewhere? I never felt like I belonged in my family. I never felt like I belonged in my first marriage, and I had given up on ever feeling safe or comfortable in this life. I was saving happiness for heaven. Now, I have finally found my home, and it’s with my husband. He has been through this entire mess with me, and I am so grateful for him!

~Thanks for reading, and until next time, stay safe, and be blessed!~ 🙂
