Today’s poem must have been written during a playful moment. I am not sure when I wrote this, but I think it’s fun. My mental mess………

A Better Time

the waves splash up
against the rocks
just like my moods
swing back and forth
one moment
ultimate chaos
the next
something amazing
never knowing
what tomorrow will bring
yet again, who does?
this mental madness
does not have to be
the only thing I focus on
and long to change
it’s layered and doesn’t
always have to be intense
just like how a rock can skip
so easily on top of the water
so will my soul fly free
and I will go to the next level
and I will feel the wind
and the salty water in my hair
and relax under a moonbeam
after the fog has cleared
