Hello, My Poetry and Writing Friends!🖤

I hope you are well! Thank you for visiting my poetry blog. I appreciate you being here!

Today’s poem was written over a year ago. It’s nice to know I am not as stuck as I felt when I wrote it. I continue to ask for God’s healing to seep into the crevices of my pain. I pray to forgive and to let go of the past. I pray for peace for this world, and for peace within.

I am only human, and know these things are beyond me. The power is in the God I am praying to through the power of Jesus, our Christ. His power outshines my insecurities. ✝️🙏❤️

When Will I Learn Not to Care?

words in my brain
want to escape
being held captive
by fears of the past
criticism cuts like a knife
when will I learn not to care?
