Hello, Poetry Friends!❤️

I hope you are well! Thank you for visiting my poetry blog. I appreciate you being here!

In my quest for peace, I am leaning on Jesus for my comfort. Many nights I have cried alone, knowing I was not truly alone. I cried out to God, and He heard me. He helped me realize I needed to forgive others and gave me a safe place to fall.

I can forgive because of what Jesus did for us on the cross. We can have forgiveness flow through us as easily as water splashing off a turtle’s back. I wish this had clicked earlier, but I let the anger and pain blind me.

God gives us strength when we need it. This doesn’t necessarily mean there will be a reconciliation. Sometimes, for our mental health, we must distance ourselves from the ones who won’t stop hurting us. I believe that God said to pray for our enemies because he knew we would have them.

We can forgive our enemies, no matter how many mountains lie between us. We can trust in God for his strength because of what Jesus did for us on the cross.✝️🙏❤️

Matthew 6:14-15 KJV

For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: but if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

I don’t know about you, but I want God to forgive me. I don’t want anything to stand in the way. If God wants me to forgive, then I will do it.

1 Peter 3:9

Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.

I want a blessing, how about you? I want a light spirit, not bogged down by anger and unforgiveness. I know I can’t do it alone, so I pray for God to help me on this journey. I know He will never leave me!

Deuteronomy 31:6

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.

Trust In Him

many mountains
have gone and fallen
many storms
have been made tame
in the quest
to trust and follow Him
I’ll stay the course
trust in His name

Romans 10:13

for, ‘Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’
