Hello, my poetry and writing friends! I hope you are well. Thank you for visiting my poetry blog. I appreciate you being here!

Thoughts and Observations~~Poetry
it’s the cinnamon of life
that sweet taste when you go outside
following the different birds
in awe at their simple happiness
nature sometimes scares me
vulnerable wildlife, fighting to survive
yet it all creates so much beauty at the same time
grass and dirt accumulate on the ground
scattered pine needles, rocks with green moss, and twigs-
yet it all seems so clean
layers upon layers until something entirely different remains
trees scattered along natural paths
it’s sad to think of all that has been destroyed
I am human, so partially responsible
it’s a helpless feeling to know the enormity of it all
I won’t turn my back on the earth
I will try not to cause her any more harm
for I know the priceless value of her worth
and know there is already cause for alarm
in the meantime, I will continue to watch the birds
and breathe in the sweet-smelling air
I will try to appreciate life
and promise always to be concerned about this world’s welfare
