Hello, My Poetry and Writing Friends! 🙂

I hope you are well! Thank you for visiting my poetry blog. I appreciate you being here!

Today, I want to honor my dad, who suddenly passed away in 2006. It’s his birthday today.

I miss his 5 AM phone calls and his gentle kindness. He never judged me for having an anxiety disorder or my sensitivity; he just loved me. I know I will see him again in heaven. I hope everyone is having a heavenly celebration!

~My Dad- poetry

Remembering My Dad

I used to call out your name
when I needed saving
your strong arms rescued me
from my childhood tragedies
if I was afraid to jump
you held onto me
when I was scared during the night
you would comfort me
you came and sat beside my bed
and told me how much you loved me
and how when I was very small
you worried something would happen to me
now I look back in my mind
and think of all the memories
you will never be lost in time
you are in my heart and will never leave

~I LOVE YOU, DAD!~
