Hello, My Poetry and Writing Friends!

Hello, my poetry and writing friends! I hope you are well! Thank you for visiting my poetry blog. I appreciate you being here.

Today is my husband’s birthday. He has been in Florida on a business trip, and we will be reunited tonight after being away from each other for almost five days. Five days is a long time for us to be apart. I hate to think he has to travel on his birthday, but hopefully, it will go smoothly.

My husband has always been here for me and has been one of the most non-judgemental people I have ever met. I know he won’t ever be cruel or call me names. I have respect for him and want the very best for him. I can’t wait to see him again, which makes it even more special since it’s his birthday. I hope somehow I can make his birthday meaningful because he truly deserves it!

~I am dedicating this blog to my husband,
Justin Fink~

Our Love, Both Then and Now

you came into my life
at an unexpected time
from the very first moment
I wanted you as mine
I felt an instant connection
and longed for your affection
and now we will love each other
until the end of time

Please, Hold Me Close, Tonight

you are my calm
my rock
my life
you make it better to wake up
after a long and cozy night
I know I can tell you anything
and that you will always be by my side
in spirit or this physical life
I can count on you
please, hold me close tonight
