Metamorphosis

I never saw it happen
I waited every night
instead, I felt disaster
the world had gone mad
I tried to catch the spinning
from entering my mind
instead, I crossed my eyes again
and prayed that I was dreaming
the voices yelled into the past
my childhood rage diminished
everything went back to its place
as I  walked over murky waters
the blazing sun fought to ignite
the light within my soul
as I embraced the seas of change
and experienced renewal
