I have cut ties with quite a few people this year. It’s been a year of changes and growth. No matter who I let go of, their absence has lightened my load in one form or another.

It’s a year of loss, reflection, and looking forward to new things.

I Was Wrong

I thought I wanted to know you
now, looking back, I had it all wrong
the things I thought we had in common
were twisted, off-centered; an unhealthy song
it’s not something I want to dwell on
for some reason, it festers underneath my skin
if I could go back in time and start over
I’d be much more careful of how I entered in
