Hello, my Poetry and Writing Friends!

Hello, my poetry and writing friends! How are you doing? I hope you are well! Thank you for visiting my poetry and writing blog. I mostly share poetry here but occasionally share a personal story.

~

I have been working on a personal story for the past several days, and it’s emotionally draining to relive the events I’m writing about. I am unsure if I will publish it, but it will be good to have it all written down and out of my mind.

~

Today’s poem is about reaching out for help. It’s a spiritual poem, so if you are leery of that type of thing, you might want to stop reading…NOW! lol

I Desperately Need Someone to Rescue Me~A Spiritual Poem~~Poetry~

I felt helpless
yet now I know it was a choice

~

I could have faced the issue
and maybe I wouldn’t be standing here

~

facing consequences

~

I have only myself to blame
but that doesn’t help my predicament
since I’m already in so deep

~

it doesn’t help
when you show me all my faults

~

I know they’re there
how could I ever forget?

~

I need a helper
someone to rescue me

~

I am alone here
and I am crying out for help

~

I see my Father
reaching out His loving hand

~

I choose to walk his way
and let him carry me through the storm

~

I am so grateful
that he came and found me here

~

and rescued me from the ditch
as He erased all of my fear

Sometimes I write like I am already healed. I can see myself healed in my mind’s eye, making me feel at peace.

~

One way we can take care of ourselves is to remove toxic people from our lives. If someone seems to live to cause you pain, it might be time to say goodbye.

~

I struggle with missing the people who aren’t good for me. I must remember, though, that those people have earned their treatment. I can’t allow toxicity in my life anymore.

~

I hope you have a great day! 🙂

~

~Thanks for reading, and until next time, stay safe and be blessed!~ 🙂
