Hello, My Poetry and Writing Friends! π
I hope you are well! Thank you for visiting my poetry blog. I appreciate you being here!
Most of us have been burned by others numerous times. We know what it’s like to be stabbed in the back and lied about. We can’t change the behavior of others, but we can do our best to be at peace with the world. Sometimes, that means distancing ourselves from those who try to steal our peace.
When these things happen, we can also write about them and turn them into anything we want. Sometimes it’s dark, but it gives more room when the light appears once more.

Giving Up
you struck me in the throat
as I desperately fought for breath
I looked down at the ground
then I suffered till my death
everyone around
had the burden of regret
I floated to the sky
and told myself not to forget
