Hello, My Poetry and Writing Friends!

`

Hello, my poetry and writing friends! Thank you for visiting my blog. I appreciate you being here. 🙂

`

How are you doing? I hope you are well! I hope you are treating yourself as you would, a dear friend. 🙂
`

Today’s poem attempts to release tension built up by the agony of the past. Hopefully, I can finally move on after I get all of this out. Can you relate?

Emotions Reaching the Boiling Point~~Poetry~

`

you hurt me
in ways, I can’t find words to explain
with your apathy
and the cruelty you’ve displayed
`
how am I supposed to act
when you keep treating me this way
`
I need to accept that
I finally need to walk away
`
it’s been a long time
since I could smile or enjoy myself
`
my happiness was stolen
and I don’t know how to get it back
`
you have wronged me
and I don’t think I deserved it
`
we were supposed to love each other
but what you showed me was something different
`
it gave me a feeling
like I was nothing
and made me wonder
why you didn’t do something
to protect me and to save me from
the people who were treating me so horribly wrong
`
you say, “it’s the past; why don’t you try to forgive?”
`
I say I already have but need to find a new way to live
`
a life without the memories haunting me
`
a life with the ability to face my thought’s enemies
`
until then, I will speak about it
yell and scream about it
`
I can’t stop dreaming about it
`
so why not let it out so I can stop feeling it?

Once again, if you can relate to this, I feel your pain. Sometimes we must walk away from toxic people for our mental health. It’s a difficult thing to do, but sometimes it’s necessary.

`

~Thanks for reading, and until next time, stay safe, and be blessed!~ 🙂
