Embracing the Night
Mist rinses my face
My skin feels radiant
The wind kisses my hair
I embrace the night
Once in a forgotten time
I raced with lanterns
they won
I celebrated their glory
as the brightness framed the
night
The night calls my senses
and hugs my being with closeness
only dark can provide
No hiding in the night
for I am hidden already
I smile as I remember
the night with selfless love
She intertwines my nothingness
and I become one
with the darkness
Tomorrow I will wake
and from the first light
I will long for the night
to kiss me once more
