Determined
as I walk forward
I feel you pulling
on my sweater
I must keep moving
for I can’t go back there
these things are harder
than staying still
I am determined
to excel higher
release my burdens
stop my mind
I’ve learned to fight
with patient silence
the tides have shifted
I can’t look back
