Hello, My Poetry and Writing Friends! ๐Ÿ™‚

I hope you are well! Thank you for visiting my poetry blog. I appreciate you being here!

When stressful situations try to invade our safe place, it’s easy to get frustrated, annoyed, and even angry. The way some people disregard the welfare of others can be quite disturbing.

Whether online or in person, people have a way of making themselves heard. The effects of negativity can be felt through and through, and it’s difficult not to hide away from the world completely.

I am lucky enough to have a choice; right now, I choose solitude.

After All of These Years

as my chest compresses
I feel suffocated
breath leaves my body

meeting sharpness
fears mounted
pains in my shoulders

and irritations, unknown
you make so much

noise over the telephone
every time it rings

I jump out of my skin
do you not realize

who I really am?
trapped within walls

you could never break through
isolated from society

itโ€™s safer here without you
you cannot reach me

Iโ€™ve already disappeared
running away into the dust

after all these years
