A Poem Within a Poem
a masterpiece
a laugh
some words
scratched out
upon a torn-out page
time has not been her friend
a thief taking years
stomping them down
until no recognition remains
could anyone make sense
of her tragedies
could anyone interpret
her mysteries
she must keep speaking
in fragmented codes
to find safety
within this forsaken world
