Hello, My Poetry and Writing Friends!🖤

I hope you are well! Thank you for visiting my poetry blog. I appreciate you being here!

Before I lost my Annie, I tried to imagine what it would be like once she left this earth. I looked over at her on the floor and imagined that space was empty. I hugged her and cried on her, saying, “I don’t want to miss you! I don’t want to miss you!”
.
Well, now I know what it is like to miss both Umi and Annie, and it’s a horrible feeling on one hand and a grateful feeling on the other. I am so blessed to have had such wonderful girls in my life and know I will see them again in Heaven.
.
I believe they are together with my other pets and my Dad. Of course, Natalie is there too! I hate missing the ones who have left this lifetime. Thankfully, death is NOT the end.

Your Absence

I imagined the days without you here
trying to prepare my heart and my mind
I cried on your shoulders and I gripped you near
wanting to somehow reinvent time
I looked into your eyes, and I stroked your hair
and said the most sweetest of things
but I still could not fully imagine or prepare
for the ache in my heart that your absence brings
