So much has changed in the past few months. I used to have trouble dealing with change, but you start to adjust when so much change happens.
.
Thankfully, positive things arise from even the most negative experiences. Finding the light in the darkness can be a saving grace.

The Walls Will Break

the waters rose past my internal consciousness
I didn’t see them flowing over me
as emotions swept past, they cut like glass and needles
I gave up my control and drifted into nothingness
or maybe it was something, but it did escape my mind
I had a time when things didn’t seem to bother me
or maybe that was a dream of what was not
I will walk along the path until I can feel forgiveness
beyond a word, I’ll let my heart release
along the river banks, I’ll embrace my freedom
the prison walls will vanish from inside of me
