~Happy Poetry!~
Hello, my Poetry and Writing Friends!
Hello, my Poetry and writing friends! How are you doing? I hope you are well! Whether you stopped by to read, observe, or interact, I want to welcome you! 🙂
*
My timing is off because I usually have a bunch of energy in the summer, but right now, I am in the middle of a medication change, and it’s kicking me in the bum!
*
I won’t allow this to continue and plan on adjusting my medication because I can’t live in a zombified state.
*
It’s a slippery slope because I don’t want to get depressed, but I also don’t want to go manic, so it’s like a juggling act. Thankfully, I trust my doctor, so I know we can get this figured out over time.
*
I don’t have many people in my life, but I am very grateful to have a good doctor who takes more time than she needs to. She makes free calls just to check on me, which means a lot.
*
Someday I hope to have more people in my circle, but for now, most of my friends live online, which is perfectly fine. After all, they are real people behind the screen.
*
Today’s poem is about the agony of watching time pass by, be it too slowly or too quickly. We either seem to have too much of it or not enough. Do you ever feel that way? Anyways, Happy Poetry!
Realize That Your Time is Now~~Poetry~~
time slips away
and years pass swiftly by
*
I see them walking down the corridors
of the stages of their lives
*
will they pass me by
or will they remain
so we can share our lives together?
*
I remember the days
where time seemed
so immense
and days seemed to last forever
*
those days are gone
*
now time races faster than an anxious heart
*
and before you know it
the time is gone
*
don’t forget to show your love
*
now
*
before your time is gone
I think about my kids and how much I want our time to mean something, but the time keeps slipping away from me.
*
They seemed to grow up in a few minutes, and somehow, all these years have passed, and they are now teenagers.
*
It seems like you spend your first years of parenting so exhausted it’s a blur. When you have more time to relax a little, your kids want to do their own thing.
*
All I can do is beg for a little of their attention and try to keep up with them both.
*
Whether you have kids or not, I am sure you know all about years passing by and people passing by with it. It’s hard to accept change, but it’s also necessary to have a fuller life.
*
I guess we need to roll with it because life is NOT stopping for anyone!
*
Thankfully, we are all in this together. You don’t ever have to feel alone because I believe God is watching out for you, and I am also here for you. If you ever need a friend, feel free to reach out to me at – Abstractstarr777@gmail.com.
