Hello, my poetry and writing friends! I hope you are well! Thank you for visiting my poetry blog. I appreciate you!
Today’s poems are sentimental, about wishing for what can’t be and maybe even what never was. I hope you enjoy them!

Missing You
I miss you
sometimes I think of you in the morning
the smell of coffee reminds me of you
especially when I have it, black
my heart has a missing piece
only you could fill
but this may never be
we never know if we will see
tomorrow or not
and if we run
out of time
I hope you know
I spent my days missing you
I just had to let you go
If You Were Still Here With Me
if I could
I would buy you a magnificent rose
the sweetest smelling rose there ever was
and I would bring it to you
we would share some tea
you could open up to me about anything
I would be your forever friend
I would help you out
no matter what you needed
we could figure it out
as long as we had each other
we would conquer anything together
life with you would be so much better
if I still had you here with me
