It Was All Worth It~~Poetry~
in an echo
I hear the truth
but it’s too late
the trees promised
to keep quiet
I went into the ditch I dug
and hid within my mind
I chickened out
and lept from where I came
and laid my head upon a cloud
missing sweet orange as I plunged
from the sky back to earth
like a thrashing
the truth eluded me
and I dropped to my deliberate destiny
dust, I became
and it was all worth it
