Hello, my poetry and writing friends! How are you? I hope you are well! Thank you for visiting my blog. I appreciate you being here!

Today’s poem talks about the contrast between humans and ants.

Comparing Humans to Ants~~Poetry~
`
humans look like little ants
scattering around
but seemingly more helpless
and less focused
`
some have no direction
`
indecisiveness
and regrets
weaken
soul and mind
`
forgetfulness
becomes routine
`
life slowly drips by
yet, at the same time
flies with the wind
`
people trying to succeed
wanting to be written in stone
`
selfishness and greed
stepping on others
to try to get to the top
not recognizing what they are
doing is wrong
`
looking at the entirety of the scene
they don’t seem like ants at all
for ants work together
and do not scheme against each other
in fact, ants look quite innocent
as they are working with one another
`
the human condition
makes me look to the ground
I say a prayer for the future
of the people who choose
to stomp on each other
just to get ahead
`
this backwards world
needs to be turned around
otherwise, peace will not be found
`
`
It shocks me sometimes when I hear how selfish and greedy people can be. I wish the world had more compassion for one another and that we didn’t have to fear people acting out in anger and hurting others.
