Hello, my poetry and writing friends! I hope you are well. Thank you for visiting my poetry blog. I appreciate you being here.

Sometimes it’s hard not to look back at situations that never had any closure. I am not stuck in a mourning stage over what happened, it’s more shocking, but the more I think about it, I should not have been shocked at all.
~I hope you enjoy today’s poem~
Betrayed By Blood
I wistfully remember who you used to be
when you were compassionate and kind
now unrecognizable to me
and not a friend of mine
you crept into my life
and won my trust and heart
I thought I needed you
so I wouldn’t fall apart
suddenly you demanded
what I couldn’t give
when you were denied
you dove into a fit
then you went
and spread
your vicious lies
it’s still unreal to think
how hard I tried
how fast you turned on me
and all of the hateful words you said
what makes me the saddest
is that we share the same blood
