Anticipated Acceptance
if I could gracefully transform my heart
and mold it into something renowned
would I recognize the lovely picture before me?
would I accept it as mine?
could I embrace myself in a final
act of gratitude?
could I reach the end of the road
where everything fits together?
if I could walk the distance
and drink the potion of future kings
I could find a new structure within my soul
and could be guided to purer streams
finally finding a seat to sit in comfortably
a magnetic pull toward belonging somewhere naturally
