Hello, my poetry and writing friends! How are you doing? I hope you are well! Thank you for visiting my poetry and writing blog. Here, I like to share poetry and the occasional story.

Today’s poem centers around living in the beautiful state of Idaho. I don’t necessarily like the laws or politics here, but I love the scenery. The beauty of the scenery outweighs the other negatives of living here.
~
I also like living away from where I grew up. It makes me feel like I have a little safety net around me.

The Joys of Living By the Lake~~Poetry~
~
new town
freedom
~
new people
wandering
~
drinking the fresh air in
~
the breeze feels wonderful
~
surrounded by majestic mountains
~
sweet treats line the edges of the beach
with their icecream booths
and cafe bars
~
hotdog stands
and all colors of snowcones
~
people drinking happily
beside the boardwalk
~
sand sparkling like gold
besides the diamond waters
~
seagulls join the mix
and children splash in the waves
~
it’s such a brilliant time
living by the lake
~
