Hello, Poetry and Writing Friends!

Hello, my poetry and writing friends! Thank you for visiting my poetry and writing blog. I hope you are well! I also hope you have been being kind and gentle with yourself- as kind as you would be to a friend.

I am finding out the importance of positive self-talk, which I hope to continue to work on.

If we make a daily effort to watch how we speak to ourselves, I believe that, little by little, we can create a positive environment within our minds.

Today’s poem is another love poem. It’s hard not to write love poems when you are completely in love with someone. I love my husband and always will!

~We Were Created For This Moment of Love~

Your energy completes me

the light
in your eyes
mixes in with mine

we share
a moment
cemented in time

*

your energy
surrounds me

*

I feel a surge
of mystery
as I gaze
into your eyes

*

you whisper
to me as
our worlds
intertwine

*

I can feel
the melody of
your heartbeat
in rhythm with mine

*

I tell you
my dreams
as you start
to caress
my pale skin

*

and my heart
skips a beat
as I let you in

*

I can’t believe
how truly lucky I am
to now have you
as part of my world
