Hello to you, and Happy Father’s Day to all the dads and single moms who have to play both roles. I hope you have a wonderful day with your families and that they treat you like a king or queen! 🙂
I wrote a poem to my (late) dad and hope he is looking down today and knows how much I care. If you are missing your dad today, my heart goes out to you. Be gentle with yourself! 🙂
I Miss You, Dad
another Father’s day is here
without you
I look up to the Heavens
and whisper
where are you
I’ll never forget the day
that I last saw you
I wish I had another chance
to say I love you
can you see me
from where you are now
I wonder
are you proud of me
or are you looking down
with anger
I always wanted
to make you proud
and show you that I care
I love you, Dad
and miss you too
I feel your presence
everywhere
so if you’re looking
down at me
I just wanted to say
you are my heart
inside my soul
Happy Father’s Day!
I will always cherish the memories of the last day with my Dad, Father’s day, 2006. I’m so glad we went on a walk together and shared our moments out in nature.
