Nature’s Song
she sang about
the lovely birch trees
growing in the quiet meadow
she sang about
the radiant green leaves
dancing in
the soft white willows
a foreign tune
came from her lips
as she sang
nature’s song
she spoke to birch trees
in the forest
and they spoke back
and sang along
they took her
in their
arms and
hid her
wanting to protect her
from the storm
she sang a chorus
neverending
you can hear them
in the forest
if you only
listen to them
as they sing out
nature’s song
perhaps you’ll
choose to
sing along
