Happy Tuesday!
Hello, hello, hello, and happy Tuesday! I hope you had a wonderful holiday, and that you were able to enjoy some quality time with family and/or friends.
I spent most of the weekend out in nature, which was really amazing! I saw places I have never seen before, filled with beautiful forests, mountains and awesome beaches. It truly brought peace to my soul to be surrounded by the beauty God has created for us to enjoy. 🙂
Today’s Poem
Today’s Poem stems from a prayer I have prayed many times when I felt I couldn’t pray anything else. It sometimes just came out in a desperate whisper as, “Help me!” I expanded on it within the poem, but many times in my life my prayer has been as short as those two little words.
These days have been brighter lately and I have been able to pray more thankful prayers, but it is good to know that when we are feeling low, God understands and is ready to comfort us when we call out to Him- if we allow Him to (many times in my depression I refused to be comforted). Perhaps you can relate to this poem if you have dealt with depression in your own life.
Help Me
Help me to love
O my God of the ages
Help me to care
When my strength seems to fail me
Help me to hope
When things seem so hopeless
Help me to believe
When I can’t see you there
Help me to dream
When I am feeling so weary
Help me to want
When I no longer dare
Help me to pray
When words seem to escape me
Help me to love
Despite the drought in my soul
