Have you ever been fooled by someone just to see when they reveal their true colors? It can be shocking, but usually, you can look back and see the red flags.
Today’s poem is about an awakening of thought.
True Colors
there you are
I see you now
strutting your stuff
letting it all hang out
I can finally feel
your tumultuous vibes
while all along
I was just trying to survive
now walk on ahead
you can’t hide anymore
all has been said
and I will not roar
you tried to get me to react
I no longer have the desire
I’m leaving with my dignity intact
you can put out your own fire
