Hello, My Poetry and Writing Friends! 🙂

I hope you are well! Thank you for visiting my poetry blog. I appreciate you being here!

It’s almost a new year, and as I look back and reflect on this past year, I realize it’s the best year I have had in a long time. It marked the year I finally overcame my depression, quit smoking cigarettes, and started writing again. These are all good reasons to celebrate, so I think I will buy a special bottle of sparkling apple cider and give myself a toast!

Today’s poem is about my dear husband. I love him so very much!

Together, As One

your eyes speak of mysteries
known to only you and me
intertwining histories
together on this journey
living with simplicity
letting go of worry
cherishing authenticity
not in any hurry
we don’t always have to agree
we respect each other’s dignity
together, we, as one, are free
as we love each other unconditionally
