Today’s poem is about going through trials. It’s hard when we miss the people who aren’t good for us. It helps to write about it so we can get one step closer to healing.

This Painful Trial~~Poetry~

I miss them
.
even though they were abusive
.
I see their faces
in so many of my memories
.
my heart hurts
at the thought of them
.
I sometimes wonder
why things have to be this way
.
and then I am reminded
of the hurt I feel
and the reality of it all
.
I don’t think things will ever change
.
I can’t afford for them to go wrong again
.
I hope they know why I can’t come home
and I hope they at least remember me
with a smile
.
I will now try to move on
and try to learn something from
walking through this painful trial
.
