The Right Choice
And the aftermath
she said I lied
because I didn’t
leave sooner
.
even though
I thought I could
make things work
.
now she says
I am a narcissist
and a liar
.
I am having
trouble feeling
hurt over this
.
because
I know
it’s not true
.
I know
I gave her
all I had to give
.
and just because
she is turning it
all around now
.
and making
me look like
I did something wrong
.
I think that
choosing peace
will always be
the right decision
.
if someone
keeps stealing
your peace
.
you are doing
yourself a favor
by releasing them
.
maybe they will
figure out how
to turn things around
rather than venting
to you about something
they never want to change
.
I think I did
the right thing
when I walked away
