~I hope you enjoy today’s poem~
Emotions seeping through the surface
~Sweet Denial~
the sadness from underneath
the surface calls out to me
when I am by myself and
no distraction can satisfy me
I retreat into a place of
self-reflection and trying
to evaluate my feelings
and their possible origins
never getting very far
before I fall into another world
of a certain type of sweet denial
