Hello, My poetry and Writing Friends! 🙂

I hope you are well! Thank you for visiting my poetry blog. I appreciate you being here!

Everything must come to an end at some point, and sometimes it’s for the best. Once you recover from the pain, you will be stronger than before, and you will have a new appreciation for peace.

Pretty Paper

I held you as a gift in my heart for a moment
so pretty with paper and ribbons- so shiny
a gift for myself I could share with you only
until you stomped on the gift and left me with pieces
of a life torn apart, but it’s not too late to mend it
I’ll take the ribbon and paper and tape them together
I’ll leave a hole in the middle where you used to be
I’ll walk away clean, with my new decorations
and thank the heavens I made it out with my mind
