No Place I Would Rather Be~~Poetry~
I have plans
but I don’t have goals
it’s embarrassing to admit
I hold nothing in my hands
not confined to any roles
and no longer must submit
to any type of abuse
sometimes it gets lonely
to be surrounded by
empty rooms
but thankfully
you come back home
and I am grateful
to at least have you
things make more sense
as everything becomes clear
my life no longer represents
a place full of dread and fear
I am safe within your arms
no place I would rather be
than right here
