Hello, My Poetry and Writing Friends!
I hope you are well! Thank you for visiting my poetry blog. I appreciate you being here!
I have been estranged from my family for quite some time now. I don’t have any anger towards them and will always love them. I wish things didn’t happen the way they did. I can’t go back in time and undo the damage done. I can’t unbreak hearts or put trust in people where it shouldn’t be.
In this present time, I also cannot betray the innocent, and so I will choose to remain distant.

Where love exists, so does hope
Love Can Change Everything
a longing
for something
that will never be
.
hanging onto
the edges of skirts
that have been ripped
.
feeling as dingy
as the mud on my shoes
.
not sure where
my place is —
I feel lost
.
suddenly you
hold out your hand,
and I reach out to you
.
you say we can
face anything
.
no longer alone
.
I found you
when I wasn’t
even looking
.
your heart is my home
.
thinking about it
gives me hope
for better things
.
hope is something
we all desperately need
