Hello, My Poetry and Writing Friends!🖤
I hope you are well! Thank you for visiting my poetry blog. I appreciate you being here!
This year one of the most significant breakthroughs for me has been allowing myself to cry. I went years fighting tears for numerous reasons. I now see that I need these tears to heal.
The more I cry, the farther my misery washes away. My heartache will fade, and my deepest hurts will be more like a dull ache.
When I enter into God’s presence, all of the pain will make sense, and eternal peace will radiate through me, forever.

Learned Helplessness
the tears cried until my eyes
swelled beyond their boundaries
my brain stretched to see
the future of anticipated light
my mind organized
the files accordingly
I sobbed deep into
the overwhelming night
so many pictures
passing quickly before me
wondering why he wouldn’t
do what was right
demeaning my
innermost humanity
giving up almost
without a fight
