It’s OK That You’re Not Here
you build
towers in the sky
as I watch the water
peacefully
you want something
bigger than you and I
I am content
with daydreaming
you stopped
reaching for my hand
I learned to walk
my own way
your steps
have disappeared
you have
abandoned the land
but I don’t wonder
why you’re not here
your hopes and dreams
were bigger than I could give
and I stopped wishing
for you to change
I have learned
that I can live
and no longer
will beg for you to stay
