Hello, My Poetry and Writing Friends! 🙂

I hope you are well! Thank you for visiting my poetry blog. I appreciate you being here!

The prison of isolation follows me whether I stay in or go out. It has become a way of life, and I can’t see any alternatives. Thankfully, I am not lonely, but I do feel like I am missing out on life. The sky should not feel so foreign as I struggle to go outside.

It’s Better Than Feeling So Blue

when the snow stops, the dread enters in
to a place where light never knew
the ceiling feels incomplete to my eyes
as I long for the wind and the glow of your smile
and it’s hard to get by without you
it’s hard to get by without you

when my heart drops, the sky starts to spin
with a trace of the words that were true
the smoke in the street is not a surprise
with a song from a friend singing in a slow style
and it’s better than feeling so blue
it’s better than feeling so blue
