Hello, My Poetry and Writing Friends!🖤

I hope you are well! Thank you for visiting my poetry blog. I appreciate you being here!

Today’s poem was written about a year ago. Reading it shows me how far I have come. It used to be agony when my husband left each morning for work. Many days I felt too panicked to get out of bed and relied on my husband for most things.
.
My mental health has improved, along with my attitude. I still have a long way to go, but don’t we all?

I Have To Be Strong

when you go away
my heart loses sleep
I can’t ask you to stay
I will smile as you leave
for I have to be strong
both for you and for me
