I hope you are all well! over here, we are finally getting some rain, which is nice because it’s been pretty hot. I don’t like it too cold or too hot, so after it rains it feels just right.
Today’s poem is an old one that I found shoved back in a drawer. It was written during a very dark time in my life when I felt completely hopeless.
You may be able to relate to this, or at least empathize. I want to fight the stigma of mental illness, and the only way to do that is to talk about it.
Thankfully, things are not dark for me right now. The darkness always lingers beneath, but for now, I am not being constantly plagued with horrible thoughts.
I am also learning to train my mind, which hopefully will help if I dip into another depression.

I found This Old Poem
Iām tired and
the thought enters in
am I barely alive?
that thread I feel
Iām holding onto
when will it break?
when will I die?
I try to keep moving
I try to keep praying
yet I find myself going backwards
instead of making progress
will God then forgive me if I fail?
and will I ever forgive myself?
