close my eyes
words can’t sting
shut my mouth
fling my hair
count the numbers
anything
block it out
mentally
turn around
kiss their cheek
sick of dying
getting weak
and their lying
mysteries
laying down
my misery
time for healing
painfully
laying down
my history
letting go
becoming free
