I wish I could forget so many things. I wish I remembered more good things. Right now I have to look forward to brand-new things and have more hope than ever before.

Empty Out My Brain

I will empty out my brain
and place the contents on the table
rearrange my form, clean out my mind
I’ll try to find that jigsaw piece of release
must let regrets and sorrow fade away
as I search, I find lost promises from others
I try not to feel the hurt, but it floods my system
I absorb the pain and let it sing to me
I try to feel the heartache to the extreme
maybe if I can feel the hurt one last time
I can leave it behind me and think straight again
