Betrayed by Self
did you ever think
you would cross the fence
and go to the point
where you could never
come back from it again
breaking promises
made in the dark
to yourself
you never told anyone
your secrets
so who cares?
you still have to face
yourself in the mirror

Let Me Tell You How I Really Feel
look me in the eyes
try it
I can see right into the depths
of your very soul
feel the flames of intensity
look beyond my pupils
and see the meat of the situation
it’s there, not even hiding
a book that begs to be read
center stage
sit down and relax for a while
let me tell you how I really feel
