Another Moment I Want to Erase From My Memory
the glow dies out from swelling around movements
spinning so fast the air took its breath
hang up the phone one more time in my ear
I look back and wonder how we all got here
the screwdriver went flying onto the wooden floor
I saw them dancing evilly and ran for the door
beer spilt out from a bottle held with reckless care
I don’t know how to get out or remember why I came here
fingers pointing, eyes averted, a disaster no one would admit
I stayed up, waiting for relief, yet never did receive it
another scenario without anyone taking responsibility
another moment I want to erase from my memory
