Hello, My Poetry and Writing Friends!
Hello, my poetry and writing friends! I hope you are well. Thank you for visiting my poetry blog. I appreciate you being here!
~I hope you enjoy today’s poem~
I watch the sky swirl with the clouds
heaven’s doorway to paradise above
I enjoy gazing as the clouds take shape
seeing what forms they will become
a rainbow streams across the sky
I wonder about the pot of gold
I might go and give searching a try
just like when I was ten years old
the scenery takes my mind to another place
a land full of peace and pure happiness
I get a temporary taste of what it would be like
to see this world minus its craziness
I look from hill to valley for the treasure that I seek
searching through every alley and every street I see
filling the need for my childhood fantasy
I know this will end successfully
I realize the treasure lives inside of me
and I no longer need to search for it to see
everything I ever dreamed of manifests in front of me
and I feel pure joy as I experience this new reality
